Advanced Spanish Oral Communication: Pre-requisite: SPN 2201 or SPN 2240 or equivalent. Vocabulary building with systematic training in diction and locution. Speeches and oral presentations as well as production and delivery of real-life dialogues.

In this course you will develop communicative and comprehension techniques in Spanish and improve your speaking and listening in Spanish. The majority of the course will be dedicated to a variety of conversation strategies and vocabulary, not to grammar instruction. All of the discussions, activities, and exercises in groups or individually will take place exclusively in Spanish. Different topics of relevance to the contemporary Hispanic world will be studied as prompts for engaging in conversation between students as well as the instructor. In order to succeed in the course, you must have a 3000-level of grammar knowledge at the beginning of this course. The activities in the class will consist of group/pair conversations, oral exams, presentations, commentary, and synthesis.
