The United States government designates Russian as a "critical need" language, and fluent Russian speakers are in high demand in the international business, science, military, and government sectors. This intensive, three-week program is designed to provide highly motivated students with an opportunity to acquire and/or improve their proficiency in this sought-after language. In addition to language instruction, participants will learn about contemporary Russia’s influence, politics, national identity, and culture for a well-rounded, holistic view of a fascinating nation in transition.
Students accepted into this competitive program will engage in a three-week, non-residential immersion program at UCF from July 10 to July 28, 2017, every weekday (M-F) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a Certificate of Achievement, as well as life-long membership in the UCF Russian Club. UCF students may also enroll in the 3-credit-hour RUT 3505 course and receive credit for their participation in this program.
